Wheel-thrown and hand-built porcelain fired to cone 5, then luster fired with silver luster.
12” x 9.25” 5.5”
Percolator is a sculptural object that reads like a hybrid between a vintage kettle/percolator and a piece of industrial equipment. It’s a rounded body on a triangular base, with a spout-like perforated cylinder on one side, a handle on the opposite, a short tilted neck on top and a pressure/gauge detail on the front. The surface is glossy pewter, patina — with polished silver highlights on the perforated section and select fittings. A fictional object with a suggested function — and nostalgia for mechanical paraphernalia.
