Red Button

$200.00

Wheel-thrown and hand-built porcelain fired to cone 5, then luster fired with silver luster.

7”x 7”x 5.5”

Red Button began as a compact ceramic body, glazed pewter matte with polished metallic accents. Coiled hoses and a pronounced nozzle suggest function; the single red button interrupts the machinery with a wink. The red button becomes a visual and narrative focus: push me. It’s both machine and mascot. There’s humor and a little menace: curious and safe, but suggestive of power.
